Re: my journal
Hon, would you please, please send me a Personal Message, so we can have a talk about well, all kinds of stuff.
We don't have any 'health professionals' here to call on, we're just us, folk like you (luckily, I ain't pregnant - mind you, it might solve me financial woes, since I'm a bloke?). Sorry, where was I? Sometimes, we can have a bit of luck suggesting to certain medical professionals that they take our Members a lot more seriously than they feel they might have been taken. No promises, but it is worth a try, hon.
We're very pleased that you are using our TBBD to express yourself and to say how things really are - but sweetheart, please; no more being so desperately hard on you, eh? I respect your promise to your partner, so I won't say anything more about pills etc, unless well, circumstances show I need to.
Better times can and will come and if you'd let us, I'm sure there are folk here who would feel honoured to help you remember that, and to guide you on paths to noticing 'smiles' - things that catcyh your eye, n ya just can't help but grin, even a wee bit.
Take gentle care of you, stick ya feet up, and for goodness sake, be kind to you and the new life you carry, eh?
Cool, another TBBD Baby in our Nest.
Maybe we need a 'Creche' section here at TBBD for mums and dads to ask specific parenting questions? Do you think that might be of use sometimes?
Paddy & TBT
(my cat - TBT stands for That Bloody Tabby - the bane of my life.) eh, Puss?

Re: my journal
Hiya -
there is no 'Admin People' here hon - just me, and well, you know me.
You keep on writing, keep on using our site as you need to, to remain safe and sane. Its not you, its the rest of the buggers, take my word for it.
I'm part way through having a 'Great Idea' for you, but it'll have to wait till tomorrow - I hope I remember it; I prolly should write meself a note, hmmm. Good idea, but. You'll be impressed - impressed I remembered, anyhow.
Take care, our friend.

Re: my journal
ooh sounds interesting
and i'll be impressed if you remember, i have a memory like a seive at the best of times hehe. In the last month i've lost two sets of keys (so now have a single car key, and a key for one of my doors), my cashflow card, my daughters schoolbag, sons good shoes, and numerous other bits and pieces, and the annoying part is i know all those things are in the house somewhere, just can't find them anyway. Especially the school bag, its been lost nearly a week and it should be big enough to find easily lol.

Yep,
You fit in here perfectly, pffft. Memory, eh? Isn't it bloody frustrating?
I live in a tiny council flat and things get lost daily here. Bloody Cat, I'm sure its her. She hasn't been causing chaos at your place, too I hope? Bad Cat. Sorry, she is incorrigible.

Re: my journal
The woman you saw on friday in hamilton is horrible and rude. I think you are fantastic for trying get fast track your treatment, its rediculous how hard it is to try and get help and get people to take you seriously (I've been there too), but moon you are doing a great job.
And I completely agree with you re cats. Those demanding, bratty, adorable fluff balls xx

Re: my journal
Hey Moon,
Keep at the. You have to keep at the mental health services to get the help that one needs, Don,t forget there is lifeline, the mental health line etc that you can call on.
You may need to admit to your slip up the other day as it will rasie flags within the system and may get you seen sooner.
As for depression and pregency I dont know too much about it (being a male alien) but I do know that depression can be genetic.
Hang in there.

Re: my journal
RE: The Great Idea:
Betchya thunked I’d forgot, eh? Nope, I didn’t forgot – I just realised that in your most recent Post, you showed you already know the answer too – Great Minds, eh?
Writing.
Honest, as we think it, writing – writing that doesn’t get Grammar corrected or Spell checked or rearranged to look more ‘ordered’ than it really is in our mind – words that are read just as they were thought and written.
I was going to suggest that perhaps you cut ‘n paste excepts from your Posts into a document that ‘sorta’ said how you really feel – but on reflection, I don’t think I was really taken seriously until I let ‘Them’ read unedited thoughts.
It doesn’t matter that the ‘stuff’ you say ‘Oi, Read This, and Read it Now, Damnit’ isn’t a prettily set out document, Left Justified, 12 Point, no Bold, no italics, whatever. Write as it the words pour out and let your thoughts, fears, hopes, wishes, dreams, reasonable expectations, or whatever, be known to ‘Them’.
‘They’ have to read it if you offer it to them as a document like that – and what they think or what you think they might think you think of them thinking of you as they read it, really doesn’t matter. What matters, is that writing this stuff out and giving it to be read and understood, is a valid and good way to communicate when you feel other ways are not working.
Always keep a copy of what you printed out and gave them to read. You don’t need to share with anyone else if you choose not to, just keep a copy tucked away somewhere.
Oh yeah, and Cats.
I didn’t choose That Bloody Tabby – she inflicted herself on me. It was quite literally a dark and stormy night last May when she turned up, yowling to be let in. She ain’t left. She’d been recently speyed, the local vets didn’t know her, the neighbourhood didn’t, and she just strolled on in, 'n sat down. No curiosity, no nervousness, just – ‘Where is my Food?’ And um, she don't usually expect to have to ask twice, if ya know what I mean?
Pffft, she meant it, too. I’ve always been owned by Pedigree cats – this plain little Tabby is a bit of a shock to me system. Y’aint getting me to say I’m fond of her, but. TBT? Bah Humbug!
Take care eh, and please, Demand to be taken seriously. It is your right, hon.
