Hi all,
Despite my username I am a she lol. I was after recommendations for a counsellor in New Plymouth or surrounding areas so if anyone can share their recommendations I would really appreciate it. Thanks Smile As a female I would prefer to see a woman if possible. Thanks again.

There must be some great counsellors in Taranaki lol. Perhaps they are so good no one wants to share (kidding!) Smile

Thanks for suggestions. I need to stop procrastinating and make an appointment. The first step seems huge doesn't it? I hope the other Taranaki ladies are well (and keeping warm - I got a glimpse of fresh snow yesterday).

Hi there
Colin Shorvon. From one lady who found the right person who helped me save my life. I am in my 27th year of struggling with this crippling illness. (I am now 44) I cannot recommend this man enough. The important thing for you to remember is that you are looking for a person you will feel totally secure with, assisted and not be judged. I saw Colin privately at Bonds counselling (behind AA centre) but he is part of the Mental Health unit at Base. I have his contact number if you are not able to make contact through the AMH unit. I know how hard it is to pick up the phone but when the time is right it will just happen.
