True, what about the colours when we are happy? Yellow and Orange?

I don't know if I'll ever get to find out, it's been so long I can't remember.

Here a couple of wee 'poem' thingies I wrote in the not too distant past when stuff was quite grim feeling, in PaddyLand.

I've just stuckem here to show that in my humble experience anyway, Depression can see any bloody colour of the spectrum, if ya just open ya eyes to that possibility, once in a while. Anyway, 'nuff talking:

RAINING
15/10/06

How can people write of sun-filled days
Picnics on beaches or time spent in play
Are they all blind?
Why can’t they see?
Days are all gray, with terror-filled nights
When demons rummage through
The debris of my minds darkest thoughts
Tossing them here and jumbling them up
Nothing makes sense, not one damn thing
A cracking façade, no sanctuary behind
Where others see sunshine, I only feel rain.

and then ...

SEEING LIGHT
09/08/06

I saw a Rainbow today
Nothing exceptional in that – except
I didn’t just notice a rainbow, I actually saw it.

Vibrant colours became evident to me
Colours that invaded my dark world of gray
Colours I had believed were lost to me until
I saw a rainbow today.

As rainbows go it was a timid wee thing
Scarcely imprinting itself against the skyscape
And yet – I saw it – a rainbow – today.

Doubtless it has meaning in meteorological terms
But to me it meant much more because
Through my depression, I saw a rainbow today.

Paddy.

It was nice you were touched by a rainbow, but there's no rainbow in my skies.
Anyway, leave that for you all to debate if you want, I'm going to bid you all adieu. Thank you to those of you who responded and chatted with me and offered support.
