Nausea - any advice?
Sorry to bring up such a sickly topic on what should be a happy and festive day. But I haven't been able to sleep at all because of nausea (caused by starting and then stopping venlafaxine). I really hate this feeling - I can't sleep because I feel so yuck. I'm wondering if anybody else out there ever struggles with nausea and if there are any 'remedies' that might make it a bit easier to manage? Any advice appreciated.

Re: Nausea - any advice?
Hi jaffakiwi ...... I don't really have any advice - except to distract yourself - some of the meds I've tried have been awful things - made me feel worse than before! So didn't persevere with them. Just wanted to let you know you're supported and cared about. I do hope you feel better by now. Hugs ....... Daze

Jaffa,
I have something to contribute about this topic
as ive had my share of nausea in the past, some from PTSD and at other times depr-drugs....
Hard to say what creates what,
But I sure experimented with the symptoms to learn this....
Try this OUT!
Drink a Fair amount of water
when nausious and it throw out.
You will feel much better for it.
Being frightened to Spew has to be gone thro
to realise it were only psychic energy.
The 'old finger dn the throat' i used to PROVE to myself,
I had Nothing to sick-up! But in searching in this manner,
I noticed that the Nausea was due to my subconcious trying to rid itself of Old-Past Energies,
those things from past events.
Are you into Chakkras?

Heya Jaffa,
Try ginger, ginger tea, gingernuts, crystalised ginger, pretty much anything ginger will settle your tummy down. Twinings does a nice ginger and lemon tea and with a small teaspoon of honey in it its actually quite nice.

Re: Nausea - any advice?
Thanks guys. I am happy to report that my nausea is settling down now that the drugs are slowly making their way out of my system.
Instead of feeling sick now I'm crying all the time lol, which is much preferable!
But I will definitely go out and get some ginger tea to keep in the closet. That sounds great.
