Dear Santa,

You know how the last time you asked me to sit on your knee I said OK, but only if I could have a boat 'cos I don't eat lollies?

Well, I've been a reasonably good boy this year, Santa and I thought that to save you some time, I might give you an idea of what I had in mind? Just to reserve space in your Pressies Sack, so to speak?

Its on TradeMe - Auction # 230896898.

Please, Santa? Pretty Please? I'll do my very best to keep it tiddly.

Thank You.

Patrick.

Dear Santa, may I please change my mind about getting a boat for Xmas this year? I can? Cher, Bro.

Right, Wise Ole White Bearded One;

How about an old 3 bedroom cottage on an Acre of land, in a township not far from here, for just $45,000.00? Hmmm? I know, forty five thousand dollars, and I don’t ‘ave a chance of raising it. Bah Humbug Indeed.

So, Santa, can you see how much more sense this makes than the boat?

And it’s a lot cheaper than the boat too, Santa, don’t forget that, will ya? I don’t need it wrapped, thanks, I’d be quite content to live in it just about ‘as-is’, compared say, to spending the rest of however long in a tiny pensioner flat with neighbours. Go on Santa, I know you want to.

Look Santa, its an acre of land on the flat in Hunterville, which has not one, but two shops that sells milk within scooting distance.

Go on, Santa, I promise I’ll let TBBD folk use it as their refuge and stay for a while and have time out. They can even bring their kids and dogs, Santa.

Go on, I know you want me to have it or you wouldn’t have teased me by letting me find it so easily on the Internet at http://www.realestate.co.nz/1146293?search=Hunterville would you, Santa? Oh. OK.

Then I aint leaving a bottle of fizzie out for you this year – Bah Humbug.

Pat.

LOL Pat, see thats where you are going wrong hun, I'm told Santa likes a good bottle of Chardonnay these days, not fizzie, so give that a try. Good luck Pat you so deserve it.
