Update on our dear friend and Member, 'Me' aka Maryann4

Attention on Parade. Commanding Officer Speaking.

Our Mary - variously known here at TBBD as ‘Me’ and on TradeMe as ‘Maryann4’,
has asked, through a dear friend who posted from Marys bedside in an Hospice to let us all know how she is.

Many of you will not know this, but Mary is, with another member here, almost solely responsible for TBBD having a Lending Library available to any of our Members, for the cost of return postage only.

I have chosen to rename our Library here at TBBD to the
‘M.R. Living Memorial Lending Library’ because to me, my special friend Mary, will always be alive and part of here, us and um, Me.

Enough from me. This is all about Me.

“Hi all!

This is Lisa, Mary's friend. Mary has asked me to update her health so you guys can stay in the loop with her during her illness.

She is currently in the Hospice, untill Tuesday or Wednesday at least. She looks fine, but is not well at all.

She came in initially for vomitting and needed a drip, and they are keeping her in until she is stabilised.

She says hi to everyone (I am on a laptop in her room).

She asks if you, Paddy, can update her status at The Big Black Dog site, please

Her attitude is amazing, and she is SUCH an inspiration! She has oraganised her funeral, and is looking forward to meeting her Creator in Heaven. What an amazing woman, and a blessing to know!

I will pop back in a few days and read any replies.

Now, I am sure that many of us will have thoughts and or messages we’d like to pass on to our Mary. Well, ya can and I hope you do – I shall start an Special Thread for Mary from ‘us’ but please, don’t necessarily expect a reply – I’m sure that energy is in short supply for our Mary, and I know that she’d want to answer each of us personally, but I’m not going to let her. Sweetheart, you save your energy for you and those nearest and dearest to you, Mary. We understand hon.

Time has passed since first we met,
On Trademe,
A messageboard thread of support and caring
Of being there
Of sharing
And for each other...

We read the struggles you shared
Always seeking answers
With courage and strength
And because you know yourself
You knew the answers would be there...

We read the support you gave us too
To all of us

Paddy..wow thanks so much for renaming the lending library. It means so much!

Mary says she has really been honoured by people all over the place - and most importantly, she has been honoured while she is still living, and not after that fact. This is priceless..

Her uncle (part of the Rose Society) bought over a rose the other day, a family rose that a distant relative bought out from England hundreds of years ago ) a clipping of that same rose tree) which has been to date known as the Pendle Hill Rose...but is now going to be officially known as the Mary Rose!

So pleased you're at home Me ... and able to go out and about a little.

That's very interesting about the Rose. They're such beautiful flowers ... I found a saying - by Hada Bejar .....

"The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose." ....

which I think is lovely!

So good to hear of all the friends and family around you - good for the soul.
