Biopsychosocial (BPS) Model and Better Health through Social Reform
Anybody heard about the Biopsychosocial (BPS) Model?
I've just started looking into clinical psychiatry in detail and come across this interesting approach. It basically looks at biological, psychological and sociological factors of the health of an individual.
BPS a part of medical sociology which can lead to better health through social reform.
It's taught in medical school and should be widely understood by every health professional. It should also be understood by the relevant government department including the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development.
Any comments/questions/suggestions?
