Re: Sooo lonely
Hey nzgirl,
I am sorry there are not more night owls here like you. I can relate cos a while back I would be doing the away at odd hours thing, and it does get so lonely with no one to talk to.
Have you any idea why you spend more time awake at night than during the day?

Yeah I kinda know why...
- Stay in bed as nothing to get up for... So awake at night.
- Mind races so much can't sleep til I'm mentally exhausted, then meds don't put me to sleep but seem to keep me asleep
- Stuck in the pattern so hard to break

Re: Sooo lonely
hmmm, yeah, hard habbit to break.
I guess you've tried all the standard tricks like reading, cup of camimile (sp) tea, warm milk (yuk lol), writing in a journal or writing to do list for next day etc.?
What sorts of things do you do while you are awake?
Im trying to think of a reason why you could try to convince yourself to be up a little bit earlier - may have to be a gradule process of trying to get up just a little earlier and going to bed just a little earlier at a time.

Re: Sooo lonely
Yeah I've tried it all, dream cream, temple balm, baths etc etc.. Just forcing myself to get up today no matter what sleep I've had and keep doing it even though usually if I get up really early I'm still awake half the night...

Heya Paddy,
Thanks, week has started better, managed to get to my appt yesterday which went ok, and then stayed out for 8 hours lol which is dif lol. Even turned up to a Poker tournament for the 2nd time, (I play online but life I get to anxious) and came 8th / 36th so nerves held out well About to sort a timetable to try plan out my weeks and fit a bit more in here and there Hope things are great

Re: Sooo lonely
Sorry, you have used your Allowance of Message Board Smiles for the week, now.
Nah - the smile - it suits you. Keep it there.
I'm pleased you're having a better time of it - long may that continue, aye.
Some sort of structure to our days is probably what many of us are lacking - I know I am, which makes self motivation difficult at times so good for you.
Enjoy your week and remember to keep doing things that make you feel good, because chance are, you deserve them.
Pat.
