sad this is....
rules and regulations bind the hands of 'real-people' who have chosen to work in this deadly-area.

"Today Dr McPerson, who is now Nelson Marlborough District Health Board acting chief medical officer, said the case highlighted the difficulties in treating the co-existing physical health conditions of patients subject to the Mental Health Act without their consent."

This is also the case in Australia.
