Poem - Winter

Winter

Standing outside the wintery cold
Shivering with goose bumps running up my arms and back
Watching the glacial snow on the mountain in the distance
Snow flakes coming down you can almost taste the coldness
My feet feel like ice block cubes, cannot feel the frostiness
The coldness against your face makes it numb; you can’t even feel your face
The grass standing tall with the frostiness, they look like toothpicks
The freezing air makes you shudder, shivering down your back
Like an ice cube dribbling down your back
It’s so cold, enough to make you into a brick of ice
Can’t wait to get home to get in front of the sweltering heat against the fire
