Have you ever felt

Like you have no friends and felt so lonely.. even though you know you have them and they care about you.

Its such a weird feeling to feel alone when you know your not. I hate it.

there are friends of all sorts and sizes
and there are Heart friends.

Yes Haley, all the time. Its such an empty feeling huh. I struggle with it all the time too. I guess all we can do is remind ourselves that our feelings are irrational.

yeah, dont it suck....i have reached the point where i have 'cut' the people from my life that just dont 'get it' and concentrate on the amazing friends i have that accept me the way i am - bad moods and all....its a tough thing to do, but i have found that some people understand and some dont...and now i dont concern myself with other peoples attitudes and am so thankful that i have friends that love me despite my depression....my best friend recently told me "crazy is the new black" - i was so greatful that she can accept me 'warts and all' and have a laugh about with me - stick with people like that - they are your real friends

finding our hearts means exploring that place we are told to stay away from.Its kinda funny,because they who say,'Dont go there' are infact in fear of themselves,and seek to keep you captive,
as a so called friend.

oh Wizza - thats harsh mate - do you have any hobbies that could get you out meeting people? easier said than done i know....

nope no hobbies either...im quite a boring person i think...i do have alot of aquaintences but i wouldnt call them "friends" i duno... i have this thing about getting close to people..i just cant seem to do it.so i think its a choice ive made, if that makes sence??

i get that wizza - its hard to 'break out' eh! if you ever get over chch way hit me up.....ive been spending my free time learning how to draw and stuff.....i suck, but it gives me something positive to do...its really hard to put oneself 'out there' but i have found that when i have, i have met some amazing people who accept me just the way i am - i hope that you too can meet some people like that.....its been a hit and miss affair to be sure - some people dont get it and i have had to sever those relationships as those people only make me feel worse and guilty that i have an illness that i cant control...i really hope that you too can find people who will respect you and love you despite your illness - those people are few and far between but when you find them you will know...all the best mate

Wow thanks guys for the response. I have a best friend and she is amazing but sometimes it still gets to me. Besides her I dont really have anyone else, and I know thats my fault. ISS Im the same, I cut all negative ppl from my life that didn't get me because I knew they were just bringing me down.

And Im the same as you wizza, in getting close to people. Im great at meeting ppl and being friendly, but odd about getting close. Im cool with making aqaintences, but turning them into friends is hard for me. I seem to have a habit of getting so wound up in my own stuff that I forget about my mates. And one of my (so called) best mates fucked things up with me on my bday so bad, that I dont really want to be friends with her anymore. It was partly me overreacting but the way she acted? I dont need people like that around me.

It was nice at my 21st to see my real friends show up.. but sometimes I still need reminding. Its hard esp since I lost my ph, I have hardly any numbers on it now, and it makes me feel stink Im the one that has to make any form of contact

Granted,un-selfconcious ppl are idiots at the best of time;dont waste time with them!Look after Number ONE!

I am in much the same boat as _wizza_. I dont really have friends I more have a few aquiances.

I have a social phobia and find it hard meeting new people and I hate crowds.

Im cool with making aqaintences, but turning them into friends is hard for me. I seem to have a habit of getting so wound up in my own stuff that I forget about my mates.

thats what was trying to say but it ddnt come out of m foggy head. i thought i was the only one who did this-a relief that im not

Remember that it is ok to have acquaintances, but you still need a few 'good friends' around.

I believe this is true- I only have one friend, and they're are keeping me here now, even though I keep pushing them away constantly, they're patient.
