Others and me

A label fell upon my head
It came from a man professionally said
He raised his head from notes he writ
The gabble fell the sentence fit

I bounced through youth scarcely aware
People told barely contained their fear
Awkward and different and found wholly deficient
As strangers began to stare

But I could not keep this conviction
It fits only symptoms
What of me lost forgotten inside

The strength of forgiveness
Understood the headiness
I could no longer run and hide

So I approached my label
To understand its fable
I came to terms with symptoms I dread

It can be only me
That is happy and free
I keep myself whole and well fed

Yeah, I sing in a band, play intsruments and write.

Do you put your words to music or others? Its just I know ppl who r musical but don't like to use their own words, or rarely do.

I put my words to my music and the music of others too. It's a hugely valuable way to express myself as well as vent.
