21 hours almost without a ciggarette

Its been almost 21 hours,the longest I have managed without a ciggarette in my attempts to quit and boy Im feeling it now,we spent the day at a friends lazing by the pool in the sun,watching Lily play with marcus and lilyanna(2 lilys was confusing I must say!)so not having a smoke wasnt too hard,now my muscles are tensing,im shaky and head is foggy but man Im doing so well!!matt wants a smoke as he is quitting too but having him just talk about it makes me crave it sooo much more,plus I havent started my new medication yet so Im also hungry!!!!arrggghhhhhhh

well really my options are,get a part time job to be able to afford to keep smoking or quit,better my health and have more time with my children so as hard as this is its a no brainer for me.we cannot afford the $60 a week to keep smoking,we need to pay off our debts.oh and hubby has applied for a job which will be part time at home playing games!!so he will still work full time and he already plays alot of games anyway!!so hopefully he gets it we need the extra income!

your muscles are tensing and you are getting shaky? you're only 21 hon, when did you start smoking? when you were 3?
You know you don;t have to do this alone don;t you? There is places like Aukati Kai Paipa where the patches and gum are free and they also come to your home once a week to support you.....ya can join up with that phone Quitline...but I personally don;t think someone that is like miles away and on a phone can be much use specially for tobacco craving.
Good luck with that cos i myself haven't had the balls to do it.

way to go.. and when people give up smoking it more often than not takes more than one time. u can do it!! (i certainly cant!)

im leaving it for a little bit till i get the girls into a managable routine

i smoked 14 years and gave up about 4 months ago. it's been interesting. i reckon it takes a few tries, because you learn something new each time.
the first step for me was limiting the places i smoked. i did that about 4 years ago. i might start a new thread on this...
