job discrimination
Hi,
I have a friend who was in full employment and applied for another job which they verbally said he was hired as they were desperate for people. They asked him to give three weeks notice at the job he was at. He did that and in the mean time filled out the employment application forms and ticked he was bipolar. They then asked him to go have a medical assesment which he did. The last day of work at the job he had handed in his notice at they rang to say he was not going to be employed due to his bipolar. Now he is left unemployed with no job....What rights does he have in this situation as he has clearly been discriminated against and has also been left jobless now. Thanks Jane.

Re: job discrimination
Hmmm, best bet is never admit having a mental health problem....yeah yeah, on the job application ,it says to withhold information may cause instant termination, but you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Employers ain't interested in ones private life really, can you do the job or not?
