Guests and lurkers
Hello to those of you that come in for a look around. Don't be shy, feel free to join and be apart of the site, you are always welcome. Even if you just want to read what's going on, or if you want to talk. We don't judge here, and we are not worried if you have mild depression or sereve (sp) or one of the other illnesses along this vein. Or if you are looking for support to help you to help support someone who has depression.
Anyway, welcome in and we hope you will join us.

Re: Guests and lurkers
Hmmm, I often see guests are here having a look (can see whos online on the home page). I wonder how many of them actually join.

Yeah,
Welcome to our safe place - we hope you make it yours as well.
Hopefully, you will feel free to join in or create new messages - there are no real rules - just common decency, I guess?
Oh, and if you do post and you think, hmmm, I need to edit that, you can - and you don't have to put anything in the 'reason for editing' box. I don't, so why should anyone else have to?
Please, if you find being part of our community here at The Big Black Dog is of help, tell others, even if its just your GP - I'd love for more and more folk to know about here and to get some benefits from a sense of belonging.
I don't know about anyone else here, but for me, the Internet is almost my sole source of social interaction other than shopping or medical appointments. I rarely go out, I can't make myself enter new social situations, so the Net is important to me. I'm picking I'm not the only person in this particular waka?
You are welcome to read the messages posted here without joining us, but if you did, that would be cool.
Cheers.

Re: Guests and lurkers
Thanks Paddy. I am pretty much the same except I have a lot of friends come visit and often go out but the thing is... I can't bring myself to talk to any of them about who I really am. I know they would accept it and would do their best to help me but I hate the feeling of intrusion and don't like knowing they will most likely judge me. I am the same person online and off but I leave out the fact that I am in the MHS.Admin (Paddy2) wrote:Yeah,

I have a few people I will be passing the link to The Big Black Dog. I like the fact that it's smaller than other forums and I respect anyone and everyone who participates within the place
