Remember to VOTE in the General Election on Saturday and that ...
Remember please, everyone - VOTE in the General Election on Saturday 26 November 2011 and don't forget that this time around, you have an EXTRA ISSUE to think and vote on. That is, do we as a country look at changing the method in which Politicians get there and govern etc. It is a Referendum Vote.
It offers voters Four choices.
The 'MMP' Electoral Model we currently have (Mixed Member Proportional Representation is what MMP means),
First Past the Post
Single Transferable Vote
Supplementary Member.
Each of these Four electoral models are discussed in the Voters Registration Card Pack thingy which you should have in the mail by now.
You may not consider yourself to be a very 'politically minded' person and that you can't be bothered to vote. I shan't suggest how you choose to vote, except that you should, you must, go out to a Polling Booth and Vote. Don't spoil your Vote Form, but try to use it to encourage what you believe can produce the best outcomes, for the Kiwis who need them, and thats maybe not always a few millionaires etc. If you don't, we may not like the solutions our Voting apathy suggests to our 'leaders' we are willing to have imposed on us.
