Shake Quake Fate
Old man time waits
History etched in weathered cheeks
No slack in this old rope
Building futures in hopes paddock
Ground a solid thing
Myth and legend tells it so
Where does land start and waters begin
Liquid ground a myth busting thing
Pages of written grief
Faces of little relief
For whom does the bell toll
Not for him yet nor anyone he knows
Old father time
Feeling just fine
Well what does he care
From ticks through tocks he just sits and mocks
This new paradigm shakes made
Will this home yet fade
In the life we leave and the time we need
Is the sun that rises and patience that sets
To see ones love rubble
To see one’s life fret
History etched in weathered cheeks
No slack in this old rope
Building futures in hopes paddock
Ground a solid thing
Myth and legend tells it so
Where does land start and waters begin
Liquid ground a myth busting thing
Pages of written grief
Faces of little relief
For whom does the bell toll
Not for him yet nor anyone he knows
Old father time
Feeling just fine
Well what does he care
From ticks through tocks he just sits and mocks
This new paradigm shakes made
Will this home yet fade
In the life we leave and the time we need
Is the sun that rises and patience that sets
To see ones love rubble
To see one’s life fret
