why do i feel like this

im 18 and im fully medicated for my depression but now im starting to think it isnt working because im starting to have thoughts of killing myself again and i thought the meds were ment to help with this but now nothing is working and i dont know why i just want it all to stop

It is not uncommon for some people to get suicidal shortly after starting antidepressants. You really need to call the doctor's office where you were prescribed the drugs and let them know what's going on. This is a really serious situation and it's really important you do this.

Please look after yourself, and don't do anything silly. You can't see it now but it really does get better.

but i started the antidepressants about 6months ago so its not a new thing but everything around me just seems to be getting worse

Young Mum. You have to get in contact with your doctor asap and if needed sooner, then yes, a Crisis Phone number needs to be rung by you. They will be in the front of your 'phone book, I'm sure.

TBBD can't offer any any real crisis reaction or help sorry, its just an additional 'thing' I created a while back 'cos I was looking for a resource like it, annoyed with another site I was part of and well, here we are. Just us, TBBD has no no specialist or trained or other 'help, its simply us, ordinary folk working at being survivors and stuff.

Hopefully with a skilled intervention now, some of those things that keep seeming to get worse, may not be as bad as first thought? Then again, I've been wrong before.

what go to the doctors and that sorta stuff so they can call child youth and family on me again? my daughters only 5months old and ive already had 2 different complaints to child youth and family and im not going to do that to myself so i just end up feeling worse

If you are seriously in the space where you feel suicidal, don't you think it is important that your daughter is looked after? That means getting you looked after.

I have no experience with CYFS, but I'd like to think they're not out to take peoples kids of them, but helping both parents and their kids.

Perhaps plunket might be another helpline you can call?
