my diabetic not going so great

readings are too high they might be putting me on isulin in a couple weeks dont think im looking forward to that but the good thing is ive lost some weight

I have just been diagnosed type 2 as well and I'm finding it really hard...I need to do more exercising and make better choices when eating..I so miss SUGAR!!!

TL, whats proving hardest for you to manage at the moment?

Is there anything we can help with in terms of special diets and ways to make it tasty and affordable and easy to do? Someone here might have some ideas?

Are you getting the information you need from your doctor and the medical practice in general? Does your DHB have a Diabetes Education team who could maybe visit and go through ideas and problem issues with you?

I too love sugar I checked out recipes books for diabetics on Trade me to see if there is a book to help you with menus. I found this one, it reads well, and it may be of help. There are quite a few on there but the front cover pic won me over..yum
