Your Privacy.

At the moment, only I have access to the Admin features of The Big Black Dog (mmmwahahaha) but as the site grows, others may become involved in helping manage its evolution.

Your email address that you used when you joined our community, will not be used or given out to anyone without your prior permission. Except ...

The only exception I can think of to that rule, would be if there was genuine reason to be concerned about the immediate safety of a member, based on their posts - then, I think it might be OK for this to be drawn to the attention of whoever has Admin duty at the time, and that that person may make a judgement call to send a private email to that member using the email addy they gave when joining us, just asking them to confirm that they are safe and maybe offering some support until things improve.

If that sounds reasonable, I'd love to know. Or, if you think we need a more formal Privacy Policy, please say so and feel free to offer suggested wording.

I agree with you Pat.. it's a responsible stance to have that means help can be given to someone there are concerns about.. thanks for including that for everyone's support and assistance..

I'm happy with that idea -it is a responsible approach.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think I'm going to find having anonymity makes it easier to be open and talk about things...which obviously is a good thing!

Maybe there could be some way of adding a not for public view of a phone number for the same reason, could be optional but definately a safety net
