Insomnia
Insomnia!!!!! I don't think I need to add anything further to this post really. Insomnia = torture!!! I am going to work on this as I am sick of feeling tired. Any suggestions fellow insomniacs? The kids, the cats, the dogs, the other half are all sound asleep. I'm trying not to feel resentful.

Re: Insomnia
I'm going to snuggle up with the cat and think happy thoughts! If I don't sleep at least I will rest. G'night all.

Re: Insomnia
nzmum, I can relate to having to deal with the bs from doctors and gave up the meds as well, why we have to deal with GPs I don't know.
Anyway, what kind of insomnia do you guys have? Is it just trouble getting to sleep at a normal time, or that restless sleep and waking up at random times during the night.
I seem to be the former. I can't go to sleep if I'm not tired, which usually means going to bed in the early hours of the morning, 1-4am. At the moment it's not so much of a problem as I wake fully rested and don't have a job to go to.

Re: Insomnia
I feel for you all (although it's kinda nice to know I'm not alone). Doc - I'm both, unable to get to sleep and then constant waking through the night. Last night I was so tired and went to sleep straight away and then the blardy dog started barking and barking and barking! Some days (nights) ya just can't win lol.

Re: Insomnia
I feel for you Martine. I am fortunate that I don't often have nightmares just a racing mind.
As for the 'blardy dog' he is usually a real sweetie. He is rather elderly and losing his eyesight and often barks until he works out what is around him. I washed his sleeping bag (he has a bed on the back porch) and checked his bedding was ok today - all good. I think it may be his last winter though And at 60kgs he's not hopping into bed with me lol. Besides the cat would have conniptions!
Hope you have a restful night Martine (and all other insomnia sufferers).
Good night.

I'm going to bed and will sleep well tonight - I'm determined. Lack of sleep is taking it's toll.
I hope everyone else is getting enough sleep.

Re: Insomnia
How are you doing nzmum? I'm getting a little more sleep and each night I'm trying to go to bed a little earlier. I must be exhausted as I slept through the thunder last night which is unusual for me.
Sleep well
