Another poem published

I was at the library t’other day and the district librarian wandered over and gave me a complimentary copy of a small book with one of my little poems in it. I’d forgotten about entering it, lol. I’ve had stuff published in three books in three consecutive years now, woohoo.

Here is what I’d writted, anyway. Hope you enjoy it.

Magic Monday.

What a glorious evening sky it is today
a low strand of oranges and pinks
stretched out over the Tasman Sea, ‘Naki - way
and out East, somewhere way past Kidnappers, an
E-T - Clear-full Moon is momentarily brushed by
Winters branches free of leaves.

An evening I’da missed had I stayed
inside – an evening where the Elegance
of Nature would have remained unseen.
I almost forgot to say.
Between the oranges and pinks and the white of the Moon,
was a serene otherwise cloudless still blue.
Not a breath of wind, not a man-made sound.
It really was, Magic.
