i hate this f**kn insomnia

im over it, my mhs dr is away at this week the one week that both ziopilone & quatiapme stop bloddy working and have ran out of temazapam, so rang mhs yesterday the crisis team to get another doctor to prescibe me some more temazapam and he bloddy prescribes me diazapam which I dont sleep on so have spent the lat 24hrs awake and the previous days only 2hrs sleep a night.

so have rang again today to see if I can get temazapam to sleep I feel like they think im a drug addict im just over all of this. I dont want to be admitted to the hospital

Hey Hunty,

I know how you feel. I had issues with insomina for years and finally have it under control but could sleep the other night.

I hope you get something sorted cos when we go with sleep we can go downhill pretty quickly.

Even though I couldnt sleep at night I still went to bed and lay there listening to music. Even just the rest helps.

thank you, I cant really lie in bed all night listening to music as my hubby works for the defence force so really needs his sleep so I normally come out to the lounge with my pillow, blanket and cuddly blanket (a lil childish for a nearly 26y/o with a toddler) but it gives me comfort when Im not in bed with hubby or if he is away

a lovley woman from the crisis team just called and they have prescribed me temazapam finally

Dont worry, a cuddly blanket isnt childish. I am a little older than you (29) and when I feel low, drepressed or lonely I go to bed with a soft toy

Defence Force life an be hard to live with. My foster father is ex Air Force.

How do you find the mental health services in Blenheim? When I was there a few years ago I didnt find them that helpful.

my dr at mhs is fantastic she looks after me very well, the other doctors no dont like them.
my hubby is airforce, Im born in breed navy baby both my mum & dad where in the navy so Im used to defence life its a hard life but u learn to deal with it

Married Quarter living is just not quite the same as having ya own little kingdom, is it. Luckiliy for you, ya now have a Name and Face into which you can stick little pins into - just please, don't twist them too hard, I'm sore enough as it is.

As a Ministry of Works Land Purchase Officer, one of the things I did was have some 'houses' shifted onto site at Woodbourne whereupon they instantly morphed into MQ's.

As Property Officer ATG Waiouru, I well, ya know what a property/housing officer does, dunt ya. 612 MQ's then, from memory. From there, to DefHQ where I was I guess, the landlord of all Def real estate holdings as asst director Works, property management.

Hon, I'm more than qualified for those pin-sticking sessions, so be my guest. Being a service family just has to add all sorts of stresses which some who might not be from that background, couldn't imagine.

why is it everytime you miss sleep your body becomes run down that you end up getting sick, I now have the damm flu aggh

It is cos your immune system also get run down.

We use to laugh at Uni. We would work hard out for 10 weeks then mid-semister break would come around and we would all just crash. We would catch any cough, cold or bug going round.

Look after yourself.

havent been back to see my doc but have spoken to her on the phone and got more meds till I see her next. bs sick too so we've been wrapping up warm and staying home
