Our little daffodil just texted to say she may be allowed home either today or tomorrow. Will keep you posted if she doesn't get home and beat me to it. Take care all.

Parents have brought me home for a few hours, is good to be home. Diagnosis that they have put on my sheet is severe to moderate depression and borderline personality. Bit more relaxed now.

Will be discussing action plans and meds and stuff more on Monday.

Thanks for the well wishes, is much appreciated.

Just heard from LC, they are going to keep her in hospital for about another week. She is on different meds and they want to monitor her on them. Apparently these ones will also help her sleep which should be a real blessing for her.

In sleep we dream.
In dreams magic happens.
If and when things get too-great to handle
Grace occurs wipping the slate
so we can start again.
Sleep is important.
If you dont dream
you go mad!
REM is for everyone.

Hey guys,

Well I'm out, I'm not yet officially discharged until 2 November so am just on leave, this is because the medication I've been put on has only just been accepted for a govt subsidy which comes in on 1 November, so to be able to apply for a special authorisation number we need to wait till then otherwise is would cost me possibly a few hundred a month to be on it.

They've put me on Mirtazapine (Avanza) it's a different sort of anti-depressant, rather than a MAOI or SSRI it is a NaSSA (noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressants) - and don't ask me what that really means lol. It also has a sedation effect to it which is meant to help me sleep so is taken at night, at the moment 30mins to an hour after taking it I'm often struggling to stay awake but this is meant to lessen over time. It also though gives me a constant dry mouth which I don't like.

Anyway hope to catch up with you guys over the next few days.

Thanks for all the well messages too.

Struggling to stay awake? Music to my Nagging Ears, sweetheart.

Surrender to the sleep, my friend, you have quite zzzzzzzzzz's owing from the last few months. Sleep

LC,
put a bottle of water beside your bedside.
Pain killers dry the mouth too.

At these times, learning to love oneself again is alot easier.

Do only the things that you feel is best for you.

Make sure your 'hand/eye' co-ordination is always spot on.
Make sure you obtain heaps of Laughter generating Movies
to watch and bust your guts regular. Supplement with love stories.
Make sure you eat healthy, alive food.

Post by logical-cents Tue Oct 20, 2009 2:14 am

Well things are looking on their way up. Went in and spoke to Marj about hours and that at work, so will start back tomorrow but she's told me not to push myself and when I feel I've had enough I am free to go home. Will be only 36 hours as well if I work a full week. She has also given me the option to switch over to grocery which after thinking about it I am going to take. As much as I do enjoy chilled/frozen, grocery will offer me a lot less stress, more team work and means all I have to concentrate on doing is fulling shelves, I won't have to deal with orders, pallets of stock, reps/merchandisers or complaints so will be better for me.

I'm also going to be giving a counsellor a call and starting that (and sticking to it) and am going to speak to my doc about the possibility of getting a referral to CBT Psychology in Hamilton which one of my nurses at Henry Bennett reckons will help me as well.

Once my days change at work I am going to look at doing a few hours volunteer work one day a week somewhere, hopefully in a childhood care centre or kindy here in Cambridge since that's what I really want to do, otherwise will try the SPCA in Hamilton.

I am now going to live a life, not live for work which I have done for so long.
