Re: I just want to cry!
Hey Monsta,
Thought about you today. Hope you got through it all right. We just need to remember how strong we are getting by getting through all these little things.
Keep your chin up. He probably had a stink day cause fords won.
Take Care.

Yeah Monsta, I second that. C'mon, you have to let us know how you are and that you're safe.
There are people here who care, so please let us know.

Sigh - that sadness is the pits. Hope things are a bit brighter for you now. Please be kind to yourself.

Re: I just want to cry!
Hi everyone. I thought it was time you all knew I was okay. I didnt mean to worry you. Its been a rough week to put it mildly and without Pat and this place and the smiles from you lot I dont think I would have made it through.
Thankyou.
Monsta

Re: I just want to cry!
I am low today. and trying very hard not to do the thing i shouldnt. on a positive note though, we have been chosen by our neighbours 16 year old cat to look after her for the next few months. she is an old cat and since we have moved in a few weeks ago has sought us out and spent several nights here. The neighbours are devasted as they are moving and dont want to cause her disruption as last time they moved she ran away. They like us and we like them so no problem and they can visit as much as they like. It is only a temporary arrangement as once they get settled and have had an extended holiday overseas they would like to have her back. Thats fine with me and we would be able to visit her when that happens. I know it sounds silly but i am afraid of getting to attached, of the daughter getting too attached and of something happening to her while she is under our care. The cat is 16 as i said and has neurolgical problems but is a sweet and smoochy beautiful thing. I just dont know.

Re: I just want to cry!
Ah, the old 'worry like heck before it happens' trick, eh?
Cats die. Shit happens. There's not a lot we can do to prevent either occurrence, so what to do?
Make the cat who has chosen you as her temporary servant, as welcome and as at home as you can. Get as many cuddles from her as she is willing to bestow on you and smile at the fact that she has chosen you to wait on her hand and foot.
If she dies, she's died happy and with people she chooses to be with. Thats more comfort than a lot of us cat-servants get ourselves.
You'll be right, mate. Take care and yeah, cat cuddles. I recommend them!

Animals are the best for comfort hugs, someone to talk to who won't judge you, and something to lose yourself in for a while. Enjoy!

Re: I just want to cry!
Hi Everyone..
Pets sure are comforting.. our cat seems to sense when I'm not the best, and she stays close.. follows me from room to room, no matter how short or long a time I'm there.. nice though.. she sleeps on my bed too.. when I can't sleep, sometimes I reach out so my hand is touching her paws.. she usually lifts one of her paw's and places it on my hand, as though she's holding my hand between two of her paws.. a lovely warm fuzzy feeling..
Have a lovely week everyone..
