i went to the landscape place to pickup some pellets for my fire and after paying went back towards my van and noticed the guy hadn't shut the back door properly, so i was looking at the door and never saw the drawbar of a trailer lying on the ground and just went flying straight down onto my shoulder. such a stupid thing to do, so angry at myself.

thankyou all. can't sleep, its my ribs that are hurting the most, doc says i have to take deep breaths and oh that is not so nice. they couldn't put in plaster cos of were its broken, so arms in a sling. its the main bone that runs up from wrist to under elbow, broken/cracked right at the top. amazing what you can do with just one arm when you have to. ive made a coffee, had a little trouble with the lid, but finally managed. made a hottie, which i have managed to get under the sling over my ribs, thats at least sothing. daughter was sweet and left painkillers out of bottle, so have managed to take those, only wish now they would work. the good news is i have a little more movement in right hand.

Hope you're doing ok today Pam, and that you're able to get some sleep..

If you have arnica spray, drops or tablets, taking those regularly will help with the bruising and healing.. we find they help a lot..

Take gentle care..

Hi Bluebird, its ok, got abit cooky for a while there, was healing so well, that i was silly and started useing my arm. Silly, silly silly, needs to heal a little more. I think I have a break further down the arm that has been missed, which is giving me a bit of trouble. Am back at the hospital Friday, so will have them re look at the xrays and see what is going on. They missed my ribs until they had another look after examination, so I'm thinking they have missed this other. The break they can see, is healing really well, (up by my elbow) but the pain is in my wrist and then half way between wrist and elbow is what is causing me some trouble, clicks and is painful. I'm thinking they may have to plaster, but will see what they say Friday. Thanks for asking. Books, thanks hun, I hadn't thought about arnica, smacks head, use it for my grandaughter all the time, so will give it a try.

truley it's not that bad until I try to ues it, or sleep on it. I think it just needs to be braced and then it will be much better. Will let you know what they say Friday.
