Cut ‘n Paste Woes Empty Cut ‘n Paste Woes

I wonder if some clever person here knows why I am having problems cutting and pasting ‘stuff’ I draft as a Microsoft Office / Word 2002 document thingy and which if I bothered saving, would be word .doc- type documents. If ya’s knows what I mean. And if ya does, please, Help!

Over the last three weeks or so, I have noticed when I cut ‘n paste for my posts here, the formatting does not seem to be the same as I originally used – and up till a few weeks ago, it was never a problem.

This might sound like a problem of little consequence, but I’d beg to differ. When stupid shit like that happens, my back and other assorted muscles reflect my frustration and knot up and cramp and that hurts. I don’t need a heck of a lot more physical hurt, just quietly.

What is I doing wrong? All I wanna do is this. Write some stuff in MS Word, Go to Edit, Click on that, click on Select All, Go back to Edit, Click on Copy, minimise, open TBBD up, find me page, ‘n paste it there – one click and it used to then, be done.

Now, it doesn’t appear to be the case. Oh, and I dunno where MSWord 2002 came from, cos I’da said I fairly certain I was using MS Office Pro 2000 and assorts apps within that.

I are officially Confused!

Constructive or alternatively, humorous replies are encouraged.

try using notepad instead (under accessories i think on your windows menu)
i gather the fancy word program is writing it with funny line spacings and in black, and copying perfectly faithfully into here, when what you really want is to just have the basic unenhanced text to paste. so yeah, try notepad and let me know if that works. plus its a heaps smaller program to run everytime you want to write something..

I'm not sure that I understand what you're doing ..... I just left click, drag the mouse over what I want to copy and paste, then right-click the mouse - select copy, and when I've gone to the document (or place) I want to copy to - left click the mouse - then right click, and select paste. I'll have to go and test what I've just told you!!!!!!!!!!!! As I've really only taught myself all this computer stuff - and listened to what people say!

Paddy an easier way to copy n past is by using Ctrl-C & Ctrl-V (copy - paste). You will find if you teach yaself to use these shortcuts computers get easier to use. No biggie.
Unfortunately MSWord has never been easy to use - never newbie friendly.
I passed several courses in Office with merits (95%+) and still get frustrated with the newest microsoft word .... it blows big time ....
COmputers do have a knack for making ones kidneys sore !
Ok so my first question would be, does your work in MSWord look the same 'in MSWord' as it did a few weeks ago ? (ie: the font style/size etc).
My other question would be = are you opening MSWord through the normal executable or are you opening it by double clicking an existing document ? important question.

Eeeew, sorry V, but those Ctrl-thingies commands remind me too much of word processing software back in the days of DOS - Word Perfect, f'rinstance, had a keyboard template to list executable commands. Some ridiculous number of keys had to pressed all at once (as if I could). Thanks, but. Unix is very similar, requiring a memory greater than mine to master these shortcut commands - my brain just doesn't wanna know those things, sigh.

I'm hoping, I found the cause and solution to the initial problem I had.

Someone (TBT?) changed the page markup settings, didn't they? Which still don't explain how come me puter reckons I'm using Word 2002 when I only have Office 2000 - but I no care. Not tonight, anyhow.
