Hiya, and Welcome. Thanks for joining us - its not all that exciting yet, but we have hopes, lol.
There are good people here - very supportive, so please make yourself at home. And thanks too for starting the thread in that other place with slightly more members than we yet have, lol.
Have a good safe evening,
Pat.

Not bad, once I go to sleep I'm OK! It's the getting to sleep part that's tricking! I know I'm tired, the eyes are blinking slowly just the mind running the sprint!! Damn brain!!
Of course come tomorrow my coping skills will not be working that well, and yip GROUND HOG DAY....play this game all over again!!! I'm tired even thinking about it!!!

Sleep? What's that!? I hear what you are saying Smurfette. My partner gets up at 4am and it drives me crazy when I'm still awake. I think I'll call into the health shop tomorrow and see what is available to help me get to sleep (like you - it's the geeting to sleep in the first place that is the hard part for me).

Thanks so much for that Roswell - I'll look for them tomorrow. I am a country dweller and don't make it to town every day. I finally got to sleep about 2am and my youngest woke me at 6am. I so need Not so much quantity but quality

I wish I had gone to town and got some though! Are there any other remedies that have helped others? I find the chewable rescue remedy good to take the edge off stressful situations but my problem is that feeling of aching sadness If you know what I mean.

Re: Hi I am new
That aching sadness really sucks. Sorry I have not found anything to combat it, well anything that is not frowned upon.

Re: Hi I am new
Hi Poppy, An old fashioned help for sleep is hot milk with nutmeg on top. Or any hot milk drink, I think. Touch wood, I haven't had one of those 'hard to get to sleep' nights for a while - perhaps it's because my husband is away!!?? if you just feel the sadness it will pass - I know it's not easy, but if you can process the feelings it seems to dissipate them (for a while!). Hope you get off to sleep soon.

Cripes monsta 2.30!!!!! Take it easy tonight and I hope you get a good sleep. I've been good lately with the exercise so hopefully the body will be so tired the brain will be forced to co operate and sleep. Here's hoping anyway.

Re: Hi I am new
I know I keep forgetting to take my magnesium (I feel like a pill box some days).
I actually got it cos it is meant to be good for things like muscle cramps too. Now when was talking to the health store guy, he said you are much better off to get a magnesium tablet (capsule) that contains the magnesium in its different forms as it works better - is better absorbed or something. So look out for one that has magnesium as Oxide, as Orotate, as Phosphate, as Aminio Acid Chelate.
The one I got is Nutralife Magnesium Complete
(a total Magnesium formula.
For nervous tension, muscular cramps & spasms, relaxation and sleep)
Instructions are to take one a day
It was $28.90 for 100 capsules.
As for the benefits, like I say, I am shocking at remembering to take everything. I try not to take everything at once - I think that is my problem.
Must make more effort to take them.
Hope this info helps a little anyway.

Re: Hi I am new
Intresting you talking about magnesium Lonely, I was reading a website last night that says it may be a "natural cure" for majpr depression, anxiety etc.
Don't beat yourself up about forgetting to take things, with me being unwell at the moment I keep stuffing up on my meds espically at night and often accidently end up doubleing up on my anti depressant which is only meant to be taken in the morning.
I have also been remiss in taking my multi vitamin which friends say I should be taking. Maybe it will help.

Re: Hi I am new
Hi Roswell, do you have the link for that website?
And maybe we should copy the posts regarding this into the non prescription medicine thread too. Might do that later, got a bit on at the mo.
