HELP Empty HELP

We had a finance company put a PAID account (not even overdue) to baycorp. Two years later after being told they wiped it as it was their fault Not ours IT'S still on there??? What can we do?
Any help would be gladly recieved this is really upsetting!

We rung the company and they explained because we surrendered our car that it automatically gets put onto our credit history. Sad because we only had 1k left but with no work and rego due/ warrant due and expensive repairs that was the only way we had to go about it.
