HOw much respite care....

are we allowed a year? Iv been looking on the web
and cant find any that state what it is.
Does anyone know a website that has all our rights?

Hi hun things still not going to well. I have just come back off respite for 2 nights i think it is up to your local dhb and what they can work into their budget and nor4mally done on a case by case thing you should ask your doc or keyworker

The amount of respite you are allowed per year depends on the contract between the DHB and the NGO that provides the respite services.

I would suggest you talk to your care nurse etc and ask them, they will know.

I have a meeting on tuesday with them so I should hopefully get some, where someone comes to look after my son at my house while I go to see my phyc appts

mumtothree- yea not so good had to bring back the afternoon naps its the only way I can sleep right through the night so we're still trying to work it out
