Things have been full on at work. In the last couple of weeks I have dealt with four suicidal clients and had follow up appointments with them. One client has been having issues with stress for a few weeks and led to panic attacks and anxiety attacks plus suicidal thoughts. I have been working with him for the last couple of weeks. I have refered him to community mental health but it may take some time. I had a break through today and may have arranged a respite bed for him for a week.

Well it is finally done, my client went into respite this afternoon no thanks to the community health team (CMT).

I got the paperwork for the respite last thing on Friday and advised it had to be filled out by the CMT. I dropped it off at the CMT first thing Monday morning and said I would pick it up just before I finished work, they said it would be fine.

Went to pick it up and was told the guy who was supose to fill it out works in the Upper Hutt office on a Monday, I asked why wasnt I told that in the morning cos I had been waiting on the paperwork all day! Then got told my client was not being accepted into the CMT despite have panic and anxiety attacks and being suicidal.

Stayed behind at work and manged to lie up an emergency appointment with his GP today and got her to do the paperwork.

I am so worn out. My client actually said I may need respite after all this running around.
