stuff I am proud of
I am proud of my son, he is a wonderful and loving father
I have a 1 min video captured on my cell phone. When i strongly miss my son and my gran-children - I watch it - anytime of the day..anywhere i happen to be. My son picks up his daughter of 2yrs and dances her around...... at the end she claps
An individual dance follows - such a giggle, a funny sorta bottom hip wiggle...oh and she gives herself a clap when she is finished her dance lol again!.

Re: Stuff I'm proud of....
I am proud of passing a degree in education (Teaching)
- proud of being a single parent whilst achieving this goal
- proud of not giving up
- proud of being a successful teacher
- proud of the children i taught
He iti te kōpara kai te rērere ana i runga i te puhi o te kahika.
Although the bell-bird is small it flies to the crown of the white pine - meaning achievement is not the result of stature, even a person of humble station can attain success.

Affirmation morning.... much needed (creativity) KIA KAHA
I am proud of:
- my progress and improvement in the visual arts
- my progress in learning 'how to'
- to knit hats
- to make felted baby booties
Treasures I pass on to friends and family........
I am proud because after suffering a breakdown - when things are new or forgotten old, I feel the panic switch......... but i am managing to keep that switch turned off.

Re: Stuff I'm proud of....
Thanks peterpam.
It is so easy to forget our achievements when we are depressed/stressed/freaking out - so a good reminder these threads.
In another thread - warm fuzzies you wrote of the wee funnies and antics - about your gran-daughter - so wonderful to read. I'm so pleased you are proud also of your daughter.
Jaffa - When it comes to my parents - yes they have had moments of feeling proud of me..... but more moments where they were confused by my behaviour.
lol oh well....

Re: Stuff I'm proud of....
Thankyou poetry, my daughter is oh so very special to me, even if I want to kill her sometimes, lol. Nah, she is doing very well at the moment, lives with me and FINALLY, she may well be getting the idea of what tidy means, lol. I really think that my daughter may suffer from depression, so at the moment I am trying very hard to build her up and show her just how beautiful she is. Had a very special mother/ daughter evening last evening, took her out to a quizz night and she loved it, (thank god I had her with me, cos she saved my bacon))hehe. She's the best and my grandaughter well what can I say, I will so miss them when they leave. Poetry, can I just suggest you share with your parents how you feel inside, they may not understand hun. Give them a chance. Believe me, they will love you no matter what, just help them understand.

Re: Stuff I'm proud of....
I think writing your'e own brag book is geat. I was out with friends tonight and they both said how beautiful my daughter was. As I am the mum..I always think she is beautiful, but was thinking, was that because I am her mum that I feel that way. Clearly not, they are serious. Anyway one of them has offered her a job, asked me to ask her, (not saying anything until tomorrow, cos I've had two wines), hopefully she will except. Yay oh yay, YES, she so needs this to build up her self esteem. Hope this makes sense, as I said, have had a couple of wines, but I am sooo proud

Well, I'm so proud that we just attained our 6,000th Post (and it was You), that I might just let you use those words if you think it might help.
You have a space waiting for you in the Ventilation Chamber.
If you like, I'll delete it later for you.
