Efexor-XR Empty Efexor-XR

Dosage has been doubled now. Doc said to keep taking the one in the morning like I've been doing then take another one at night. When I take the other one at night though I feel really teary-eyed and like I'm gonna burst into tears at everything. Thinking of taking the two in the morning (used to take 5 of them every morning few years ago) but am afraid it will bring back the nausea. Soooo does anyone have a cheap easy effective way to cure nausea??

Nausea is the reason I gave up on that medication... I was on 75mg a day and I just felt constantly sick and bloated.

People at the time told me ginger was a good way of dealing with it... but to be honest I just couldn't tolerate those pills at all. Good luck.

Thanks jaffa, yea I was on 75mg, has now gone up to 150mg, but also if I take one at night it's like it wakes me up and then I can't sleep. I hate taking these pills as well but have found they are the only ones that actually work once the dose is right. One other ones worked (Fluox/Prozac) but I couldn't live or work with the constant jumpiness/shaking/panicky feeling etc as it is even though I haven't been on that one for around 5 months I still get panicky and jumpy.

*sigh* can't win any damn way and it feels like taking the two are making me feel worse. If I take the 2nd one at night (like the doctor said) I get more sensitive and I can't sleep (this is taking it at around 5pm). If I take the two in the morning I still get more sensitive but I'm also getting more nervous/panicking, it's damn useless, taking the second one was meant to HELP me not send me further down, but if I go back to just the one I still won't be able to cope. Really don't know what to do.

Yea nar, well I'm about ready to give up. Stuff the bloody meds, if I'm gonna feel like this on them, might as well not be taking them.

Thing is this med has worked for me in the past with great results, although admittedly I was on 375mg a day, am on 150 at moment, slowly starting to pick up a bit now sort of. Was at doc other week to get another prescription and talk about it, and we're giving it another 6 weeks, after that he will look at changing it. Dunno what he'll put me on next though. Have been on quite a few with no results.
