Pedometers Empty Pedometers

Post by Paddy Fri May 07, 2010 1:18 am

Does anyone have an unused Pedometer they wanna sell?

I want to Benchmark my mobility and set myself some more 'active movement' goals to make sure I can keep moving under me own steam as long as I can without needing Home Help etc (I have a broked back).

If you do have one you want to sell, list it on TM, let me know the Auction Number and we'll see how we go. Or tell me what ya want for it and maybe ya can save the auction fee. I'll pay postage too. Ta.

Paddy.

The Pedometer arrived today - Thanks again.

Must be time to give the poor machine a rest.

It reckons 2,533 steps since about midday to right now. Crikey!

I think the Machine is cheating on my behalf, JK. Wink

Its almost as sensitive as my back injuries and I reckon whats happening is its picking up and counting as 'steps', a lot of the worsera bumps my scooter and I encounter in our travels around this delightful wee town. Hmmm.

No way I've walked anywhere near 4km today - been busy scooting but there was not much actual walking. I can see I'm going to have to be more precise in my recording of distances, and not include scoot time; Choice, more bits of paper to record raw data on before speadsheet heaven, yay.

Fun, innit cheers

Paddy.

JK -

Thats a very interesting little machine, that pedometer. I've quite surprised myself at how much walking I force meself to do.

Its all good 'cos mobility is so easy to lose and I know I have to work to maintain mine.

Thanks to you, I'm managing to keep a reasonably accurate track of me steps - well, until the birds eat all the crumbs I drop to guide me home again anyhow. Then, I just get lost.

I really appreciate your gift JK. cheers
