Another day nearly passed without being Tasered - thats gotta count as a good day. affraid

Did anyone notice the other day, that any sworn Police Officer trained in the use of a Taser and whom has access to one, no longer needs the authority of a shift supervisor before deploying the said Taser on anyone now? It is entirely the decision of the officer with the Taser to use it or not now. Hmmmm.

Well to be honest, it happened over a week ago, but I celebrated my 21st Birthday. One that I never thought was going to happen.

Congratulations dear Qwerky, Happy 21st and Many Happy Returns. Cor, 21 already eh. flower

I had cold saveloys and some very nasty red wine for my 21st breakfast. I hope yours was lot tastier, lol.

And Mylife, Congrats to you too, for caring as you do, because I know its not a lotta fun for you at the moment. But it will be again, PaddyPromise. Its good to know you're here. Smile

My good thing - a visit from me cobber, a good yarn or two told (lies, mostly) and a flash coffee had, which was good. And a spare battery for my car. Its existing one is a wee bit sick and sometimes needs jumpstarting. This smaller battery will be ideal, if and when I find my Jumper Leads. I just can't find them anywhere, but I shall - I reckon by Thursday, cos I'm buying a new set tomorrow, pffft. cheers

I hope everyone is having lots of good things in their day(s). I have the fire roaring here (cats asleep in front of it). The wind and rain is pretty wild so it is good to be snug inside. Keep warm everyone Smile

Ah, pain meds again.

I'd been outta them since last Friday morning which has made it a long few days at times. All gooda now, but.

AND I had me grocery shopping done by 7am today. Crikey, it was a chilly dark morning here, but I saw some lovely cloud formations bathed in sunlight, late this arvo. Its good when one can notice and enjoy stuff like that, isn't it? cheers

Way to go Paddy. I love clouds and the big skies we have. I could do with a few less rainclouds right now though. My section seems more like a swamp than a lawn but I guess it reduces the lawnmowing! lol.

Pain meds are good. Take care Paddy.

Good thing for me today? Feeling ok. (OK is a step up from cruddy so in fact it's very good. haha).

Wishing everyone good days tomorrow sunny

My grandson gave me the biggest smile ever, not because I asked for it, just because he saw me. There can't be anything more heart warming than an unsolicited smile like that. Martinc

Crikey, I had a telephone Visitor and an at the front door Visitor, both at once today. I got all flustered and not only did I not multi task, for a moment or three I couldn't even single task.

My 'phone hardly ever rings that time of day, and I'd given up on expecting me cobber over for our Sunday coffee and lies session, so it was all happening.

Friends, eh? Whoda Thunked, pffft. Wink

Another (reasonably) low stress day here. The mountain (Taranaki) looked beautiful today - lots of snow.

I hope everyone is keeping warm and having a good day (evening) too.

Managing to get me shopping done this arvo during a break in the rain and gale force breezes we've had the last few days. The fresh air was good, but a tad chilly if I had to find something to whinge about.

Hi mylife,
my youngest got his hair cut yesterday - he was suffering terribly with bad hat hair lol. Had a great day today spending time with my youngest - took him to Cars 2 and bowling. He had a great time which always helps to lift my spirits (hope that makes sense).

How's everyone else doing? Keeping warm (and dry!) I hope. The weather here is pretty feral. Nice by the fire though Smile

A good thing?

About all I can come up with today, is that after battling sleet and a bit of a chilly breeze etc to walk into town on crutches to go shopping, I didn't burst into tears in public like I felt like doing when I realised I'd left my wallet at home.

Didn't I feel silly, eh? Right at the front of the checkout line too, and suddenly, I realised. Round about the time the nice lady asked for some money, sigh.

I had to walk home, and do it all over again. Anyone want a broken back? I'm getting over the novelty of it, ya know? Ya want a decent workout, try holding yaself up on a pair of crutches, and carrying shopping. Who needs a Gym membership when that will give a decent workout in itself?

Ah well, I suppose that tomorrow when I have to go walkies again, at least I should remember to take me wallet with me. Bah Humbug, Patrick. Razz

Sounds rough Paddy. Be kind to yourself.

Good thing here? I've been dragging myself around for ages (thinking I was starting to get really down). Turns out I have a kidney infection which of course has been sapping every ounce of energy (that's not the good part Laughing ) but now I'm on antibiotics I'm feeling better and actually have some energy. I'd been getting worse over the last few months and starting to feeling like a hypochondriac (to add to everything else Laughing).

Hope you have a better day tomorrow Paddy.

I don't do it more than two or three times a year usually, and tonight is one such time.
