Nah you're not, lol. It sounds like you have some fun times planned. what type of Morrie do you have? I'd love an old Morris 8 in good nick, but I need to win Lotto first, I think. Enjoy your evening, and I hope the trip to the beach works out, weather-wise. Smile

Hi Paddy - nice to see I'm not on my own here Very Happy My Morris is a Minor and 'she' turns 50 next year so I thought I'd have a '50's party to celebrate. It is a great little car but I am glad I have another sensible family car (boring old toyota) as the morris has no heater and is not exactly a speedster Laughing The 8's are great aren't they?

Cripes! Here I am again Very Happy My weekend turned into a bit of a fizzer - miserable weather. On the bright side I got some study done and didn't take it personally when Mr 6 had a major meltdown. His tantrums really are ummmmmmm (looking for the right word)... spectacular? Here's hoping you all are having loads of good things in your days.

We have gotten underway with a major spring clean plus we now have a mini herb garden, and we have got a vege garden planted. Admittedly it is the other half that has done all the planting, but its still good to know we will have our own vege to eat.

Good thing in my day is that I opened the centre compartment of my car and found $20. I dont get paid until next Wednesday and thought I was broke. Yay for me!
My son is coming home on Friday. He has been at his Dads for the holidays. He drives me crazy but I still miss him. Only 2 sleeps to go.
It has been peacful without him I will probably wonder why I wrote this about an hour after he has been home. Its all good really.

Post by Paddy on Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:22 pm

Well, I'm outta bed and I was none too sure that was going to happen today so thats a bonus. I'm feeling my age today.

Speaking of which, I've been toying with the idea of putting more RAM in my puter - its got a 2.8 cpu, but not got much RAM. I'd not done more than 'think about it' cos RAM is bloody expensive, right? I mean, in 1990, I sold 4x 1MB (yep, one meg RAM chips) for $50ea, secondhand. So, I wasn't going to be able to afford much in the way of an upgrade now, right? Last night, I discovered to my joy, that I can get a whole gigabyte of RAM for $22.00 inclusive of GST! Playing my favourite flight sims will be so much more fun when I don't have to wait for the puter to catch up with the planes and scenery.

LG, best wishes for the job interview. I hope it goes really well and they offer you ten grand more than they had in mind as their best offer.

Wreckedless, thats a handy bonus, isn't it. It sucks being broke, its just so demoralising. Yeah, make the most of the peace and quiet, lol. Its hard being away from your child, isn't it? No matter how much you think 'argh, I need a break', its awesome to have them around you again.

The other good thing in my day is that a kind member of TBBD has 'rescued' my attempt to redirect the URL for here, so that even though it really still is http://thebigblackdog.forumotion.net/ (I'm sick of typing that, believe me), people can now get here from sticking www.thebigblackdog.co.nz in their browser. Woohoo!!! Thats gotta make it easier to tell folk about our site.

Yes. www.thebigblackdog.co.nz domain name works now. Whew! Very Happy

Evening all. Good luck with the job Lonely Girl. It sounds like lots of good things happening at the moment. I got some study done so that's good. Too wet to get into the garden but browsed through some garden mags - sigh - my garden doesn't look like any in the mags Laughing Oh well - something to aim for.

Evening all - hope there are lots of good things happening. For me over the last couple of day I have gardened and gardened (mainly digging out noxious weeds - I try to keep away from sprays). I have half filled a big skip and feel most pleased. On the flip side I am ssooooooo sore - everything aches. I've still got loads to do but progress is always good. How's the job situation Lonely girl? Pat - you are doing a fantastic job with the website - it is certainly appreciated by all who visit I am sure.

Embarassed Gee - I'm the sad one - I am hogging pig this thread!!! BUT I think it's sooo valuable to take time to appreciate the good things each day. Today I spent loads of time (one on one) with my youngest child just enjoying each others company - something I confess I don't do enough of. I hope you have all had something good in your day today Very Happy

Okay.......well.........hmmmmm........i keep getting these lovely txts asking if Im ok. I hope the person who sends them knows they make me smile and feel not so alone. Also I made it through my meeting yesterday with only one tearful momnet, which for me is astounding cos I am really still very raw and it doesnt take much to set me off. Also, another day not doing the thing I cant do so thats good.....and coming in here and seeing that the site is growing and being able to read the posts and chat to some of you (and lose the plot lol) is also helping me smile! I know things are improving when I can make a complete dick of myself and yet still come back because I feel safe enough to do so.

Thanks you all for being here!

Good for you, Haley, cos it wasn't that long ago you were not quite so chirpy if I remember rightly.

You make the most of it, mate.

And Daze - I'm just teasing. I wanted Boxers but was out voted and we had Dobes instead.
