for the people who take zopiclone that get metelic taste in mouth try this

you know how you get that bad metelic (sp) taste in your mouth try PK chewing gum the orange wrapper works a treat, I tried it and it really worked none of that yucky taste just chew 2 pieces , So give it a go and let me know if it works for you

When do you chew the gum? I've been told that sucking a lemon first thing in the morning is supposed to help but not for me.
I hate zopiclone just for that reason - that disgusting metalic taste stays with me all day but sometimes it's the only way to get off to sleep when the big black dog is haunting me. Martinc

I hate that taste! I used to get it all the time, but now it is only intermittent and doesnt last long fortunately. Glad to hear the gum works.

I'm told wrapping them in a tiny bit of 'Blue' cigarette paper, solves the after taste problem.

Its only rice paper so no worries swallowing it - oh and Blue papers are thinner that Yellow papers, so less to absorb.

I've not tried it myself though the taste is loathsome, as you say.

I make a small ball of cheese with the zopi in the middle - especially if I'm taking half. You don't get the taste going down, but the morning after it's still the same - yuk!

I take mine with some honey but yeah still get that awful metallic taste when I wake up :/

drink it down with a big glass of coke or just juice bubbles , take the pill with first sips then drink the rest and you won't get that taste, either that night or morning after.....just remember to brush your teeth after !!!!

I have been taking a couple of zopis every night for the last few years. I have tried many things to get rid of the metalic taste (I used to like to cook before - I don't enjoy food now) but nothing seems to have worked. Irony - the zopis don't actually work.

soft tissue that are double layered, tear a small peice, insert the zoplicone and tie off. each tablet or in my case, i just use half. No aftertaste backlash. Down the hatch with good slug or two of water.
