Finding it hard to cope Empty Finding it hard to cope

Post by mojo09 Wed Sep 19, 2012 8:41 am

I've been in citelopram 20mg for almost 2 years, but about 2 months I stopped cold turkey because I ran out of pills and took a week to get some more from the doctors (bad, I know). I felt crap when I was off them but have been on them for just over a month and lately I've been getting that 'washed over' feeling where you just feel dread for no reason. I find it hard to get out of bed, study, and at night I don't want to leave the house and often send my partner out to get dinner (because I can't be bothered cooking). I do exercise, talk to my partner, but I just feel so unmotivated and unexcited. I can't be bothered talking to people (don't have the energy) and I feel I isolate myself from making friends because I feel like I shouldn't be around people because my energy might bring them down (I put on an act though that I am friendly and happy, I don't wander around staring at the ground). I just feel like there is nothing exciting in my life...I feel stuck in a rut and I don't know what to do. Please help!

welcome to the group Mojo - it's nice to have you join us, but not that you feel you need to (if that makes sense)

it sounds like on paper you're doing all the 'right' things, but they're not having the expected effect for you???
