This is a worry – if you have problems meeting the costs of electricity bills, please make a point of asking your GP to write a ‘Do Not Disconnect’ letter to your Electricity Supplier, on health grounds.

You can also do that with Telecom for ‘phone landlines including Internet as for many of us, telephones and the Net are a major component of our ability to communicate with others and to participate in communities. I don't know about other telecommunications service providers but it can't hurt to try, can it?

Doesn’t mean ya don’t need to pay ya bills, but it should, fingers crossed, allow the supplier and you to ‘work things out’ without supply being disconnected, and quite steep reconnection costs incurred etc.

If you’ve not done this yet and you do struggle with these costs, please ask ya doctor for one of those letters – ya might never need it, but then again, ya might because of other circumstances.
