I think that this might be a very important document worth making the effort to find out about, if you are in any way ‘involved’ with MH services in Southland, either personally or through someone you know. The Draft Plan is now open for public consideration and comments etc.

“Hapaia te Tumanako - the Southern DHB Mental Health and Addiction Draft Strategic Plan 2012-2015. This plan is subject to public consultation and once finalised will help to shape service delivery and service development to best support people who access, or need to access, mental health and addiction services. Our consultation period is from February 17 2012 - April 11 2012.”
