funny how prime minister john key is quite happy to make life harder for those on benefits, when he himself was raised on a benefit, when a person could actually live on it, i get really sick of politicians playing god like this, they are fine and dandy sitting there with their brand new BMW while the rest of us live in poverty, or very close to it.

What makes me even more angry, is the economic system used in New Zealand that requires a certain percentage of people be unemployed, as a means of controlling inflation. John Key knows this yet he's still quite happy to bash the people who are unfortunate enough to end up unemployed.

The benefits in his time were completely different everyone had enough to live on, unlike now. Also interesting fact the unemployment rate back then was literally zero, you can thank that prick Roger Douglas for ruining that.

Yes the earthquake has taken the Welfare Reforms out of the publics mind but please be assured that it still very much in the mind of the NGO's etc.

I have a teleconferance tomorrow night and have got the issue of the welfare reforms on the agenda and there has been some online discuss about the impacts of these reforms.

Also of concern is John Keys plan to raise the money for rebuilding Christchurch. He is proposeing reduceing the Working for Families package and also increaseing the intrest on student loans! This is basically taking money from teo sectors in the community who can least afford it.

This resonates with me a lot. My last visit to the psychiatrist I was feeling ok. I think he decided I was cured even though I have told him about my mood being quite unstable. Basically had my case handed off to my GP with instructions not to increase my dosage for several months. Once again my mood crashes and can't do anything about it for a couple of months. If the professionals get it wrong and they spend more time with us. How is someone supposed to figure out if we are well or not with a meeting of a few minutes.

So yes this will cause problems for a lot of people with mental illness, everyone has there good days.

I wouldn't be surprised if National introduce a similar scheme if they get another term.
