Opinion piece - Foodbanks

Post by Guest on Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:44 pm

Earlier this week John Key said those relying on foodbanks were making poor choices and they wouldn't have to if they budgeted properly. Below is a link to an opinion piece in The Sunday Star Times 20/2/11. Would love to hear your comments.

What a fucking Arse.

I spend whatever money I have leftover on food, I don't smoke, I don't drink and I don't go out. Yet this last week I had $28 to spend on food, all that got me was bread, milk and a block of cheese that was on special. This week isn't going to be much better as I need to see my GP.
