staring on a new Med
I was wondering if others have tried Venlafaxine. And what they have thought of it.
I have to stop my citalopram, then go on these.
Anything will be helpful
Thanks

I have not tried Venlafaxine but from what I have heard from others it is good. Just watch for side effects.

Hey, Ms. qwerky
Here are the Medsafe Links to their Consumer Medications Information Sheets on Venlafaxine, which is also known as Efexor Tablet (from Wyeth (NZ) Ltd & as Efexor-XR Modified release capsule (from Pharmacy Retailing (NZ) Ltd t/a Healthcare Logistics):
http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/Consumers/cmi/discontinued/Efexortab.htm and
http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/Consumers/cmi/e/Efexor-xr.htm
The really Great News about any and all of these Meds, is that its not compulsory to have any of the 'side effects' so whilst its a good idea to maybe save these Linsk etc and refer to them from time to time, I wouldn't get too bogged down in any 'effect' list.
Yep, someone has to show signs of some of them I guess, but there ain't nothing that says you have to. Many users don't exhibit of have side effects from any of the meds - lucky sods.
Paddy.

Re: staring on a new Med
Venlafaxine is so far the only medication I have not been able to tolerate. It gave me nausea and a bloated feeling that simply didn't go away.
But as Paddy says, everybody responds differently.

Hey Qwerks I have been on Venlafaxine and I didn't have a lot of side effects, it just didn't work for me. I do know a few people that are on it and they have had great results so I hope you will be one of these people and that it works out for you. Good luck!
