Counselling for Couples

Post by Gabriell on Mon Feb 22, 2010 11:23 pm

It was interesting to hear from the psychologist that my darling and I see that only 20% of couples engage in joint counselling.

From our perspective, it has helped both of us to appreciate each other, understand each other and talk openly about past experiences and plan for the future.

Perhaps this would be good for other couples out there.

I never had couples ocunselling but I asked my partner if she wanted to attend one of my appointments with my shrink so she could ask questions etc.

She found it useful.

It is great Roswell that she came to one of your sessions. I think it is really important to support your partner.

My partner and I were lucky enough to have 6 free counselling sessions through his work. We both found it really helpful, he was very nervous about it as had never been to any before and didn't really want to go. He had to admit after it was beneficial to us both and there was nothing to be nervous about.
