Hi Everyone,

I dont know if this topic belongs here or not. But i am a teeth clencher/grinder. I do it all night long apparently. Sometimes i wake up with a sore jaw!

I dont even know im doing it.

I don't have dreams either! Infact i cant even remember the last time i had a dream!

Anyone else have this problem? Possible side effect of the meds?

I must remember to tell the doctor about it and see what he says.

From what the dentist has said I am also guilty, however I do dream, always have so those things are probably not related. I have no idea what can be done about it or if certain meds make it worse or not. I'd be very interested to find out any answers you may come up with. Judy

I talked to my counsllor today who said my teeth clenching is probably just from tension and being stressed and he suggested I get a mouth guard. Yip you heard it right. A mouthguard. Now, im off to buy one and see if i can sleep with it in and see if that makes any difference!

I have a sore jaw every day now because of this horrible teeth grinding.

Sleeping with a mouth guard? Oh joy what fun that will be.

Mylife,

Does Pete know of your feelings for your Dentist? 'Cos if he reads it here first, he might get a shock, ML. Wink At his age, shocks can't be healthy.

You really owe it to him to say that you think that your dentist is sexy. I don't wanna interefere in your Relationship(s?) but I just don't want to see you get hurt, hon.

Oh, and I hope you're getting a good Discount? Razz

I bought a mouthguard from the pharmacy but true to my nature I did not read the directions properly and it said to put it in hot water and then in your mouth to try and mould or something. Anyway I forgot to take it out of the hot water and ended up melting the mouthguard before I could use it. Oh well wasted $7.30 will try again.

But funnily enough the day i bought the mouthguard, well that night, I had the best sleep ever and have been having lots of good sleep since then too. Geeeeeeeez maybe it was all in my head! Just having the mouthguard in the house (nevermind its in the rubbish bin now) gave me a better nights sleep! LOL!

Will keep you posted! Razz Very Happy

Hi Guys, just thought I would share some info that may be of help. My man grinds his teeth badly, in his sleep, his is due to a nose operation and not being able to breath through the nose. He tells me his nasal passages become dry, which then leads to snoreing and also teeth grinding. Anyway long story short, he uses a nasal clip called "Quiet nites Anti snore nasal dilator", apparently very comfortable to wear and believe me what a difference, last night i got some sleep lol, the snoreing I can handle, but the teeth grinding, oh man thats horrid.. Hope this is of some help, now I might just go get one for snoreing, hehe.

Pam,
I trust you understand how devasting your 'Last Post' is, pffft.

I'm of a mind to tell the Nobel folk to stick it now, especially since I found out that they are gunna have to reduce the monetary Award that goes with it. Sad

I'm damned if I'm going to save the World on the cheap AND share the event with a teeth grinder and his lady, Seaweed Shrinkage or not! Razz

I'f I'm not worth 15,000 Kroner or eight thousand frozen Puffins or whatever they have given up to now, then I'm inclined to let the world sink. And well, your post just clinches it. I are bereft and the fate of the world lies in the jaws of man. Your man. Oh dear. Razz

Good god man you are worth all of that 15,000 kroner and 10 thousand frozen puffins and I think they should throw in 20 thousand packs of shortbread, now does that make it all better, huh, huh.
What if I promise never to mention my man ever again, nope cant do that cos he's just soooo luffly, but what if I promise not to bring him to the prize giving, can we still go, can we, can we???? lol.
