Hi Biddy ..... Thank goodness you're still with us, and that you got some assistance. It is very scary to have suicidal thoughts. Hugs for you.

Re: thank god for lifeline
Biddy, congrats for having the courage to phone and talk with them, and also for making contact with a mental health team. That is huge stuff hon, so please, don't beat yourself up over anything, you deserve to treat yourself much more kindly than that. Truely, and I'm never wrong on important stuff like that.
If you would like to I dunno, have a yarn someday or whatever, you are more than welcome to email me anytime - my email is patq60@xtra.co.nz.
Before you come down too hard on yourself, Biddy, please remember some of the amazing things you have done? You had the courage to move your Home from the far side of the planet to NZ and thats a huge thing. I'm picking that amongst other things, you're missing family, friends, familiar sights, sounds and probably tastes, even.
Please, Biddy, allow yourself to recognise what you have achieved and be kind to you - I know its very hard to; but you have had some pretty major upheavals in your time and it would be more surprising if you were saying everything is perfect and peachy.
Normal? We are. All of us. If one in five of the general population has some form of mental illness, then I'd say we are quite 'normal'. You included, hon.
