Guys I need your help!!!!

OK my hubby is NOT QUITE getting this whole depressed wife thing..........any websites etc that you may be able to recommend him research or read to perhaps get a better understanding of the whole
"Depression" thing--he want to help---BUT he really hasn't a clue as to what to do or say and thinks a cuddle will make me better! lol----hes really lost in this whole new world.

In Oz we are pretty well set-up now
with depression help centres all around town and out in the Countries.

Your man maybe suffering Himself!

If He is interested in helping himself,then send Him off to the local Library

It is fairly comon to say,
nowdays with depression being so prolific
that one party of a coupled relationship
can draw the other party into experiencing depression also.

This can be injurous to the relationship.

We also need to know
as we grow and learn from our-own tussels with-in depression,
that we can be a huge drain on our Partners resoursefulness.

as well as yourself

One of the things I did was I had worked through a couple of depression workbooks which you can by to better understand my depression.

My then partner was struggleing a little bit with the whole depression thing but tried her best to understand so I let her read my private workbooks which gave her an insight. You can order a copy of the book from: http://www.self-help.co.nz/shop/Depression/The+Depression+Workbook.html

Another thing you could do is have a joint doctors appointment (book a double appointment) and have your partner talk to the doc, ask questions and you can add your own two cents in.

Also see if there are any support groups, I know there are some support groups out there for partners of people with depression.
