Karate Lessons

Post by Dolphingurl on Sun Apr 12, 2009 3:48 pm

I started karate lessons today. And i love it. So much built up frustration and lonelyness have gone. I worked up a real sweat today and i'm going back for more. I'm signed up for 4 months and once this 4 months is up i will be signing up for more. Have support from hubby and lots of support from mum and dad. I'm glad to actually get out of the house and do something i enjoy doing once a week. I'm going to feel this tomorrow but i can deal with it. Laughing i am so proud of myself.

Good on ya. I do Kung Fu twice a week and enjoy it heaps. Only been doing it about 4 weeks but has built up my confidence by so much. How many times a week are you doing it? I felt it the next day after the first week but not after that.

Give it a couple of lessons dolphin and you won't feel it. Yea it's like, 'there's a muscle there? didn't know that!' Do you just do it once a week?

Good stuff, Im a black belt in taekwondo, and I started back this year but sadly have to give it up for a while due to it really irritating my shoulder (fucked tendons). Its so much fun, and great to get everything out.

Way to go

I did Karate for just over 5 years(Sensei for 3 years), it is such a good outlet, so good for body and mind, and great for self-esteem also. It is karate that finally gave me the emotional strength to leave my abusive marriage. It really was my first, and most important step to improving my life. I met some really amazing people, some I am lucky to have as close friends. Very Happy
