The loneliness

The loneliness eats at her
always has
probably always will

Lost and lonely girl inside
Hidding away
The locks tight on her heart

wishing for a different life
wishing for a love that will never be found
wishing the loneliness was over

Sometimes wondering how long the fight will go on
wondering why the pain is always there
will it ever stop?

The loneliness consumes me again
Just wanting to feel "normal"
Just wanting to feel loved

This loneliness eats me
Tries to swallow me whole
Just want to be valued
Just want to be hugged

The loneliness creates a fear
Will it one day take over completely
Strangle the last of the life from me?

The fear and ever-consuming loneliness can be over-welming....but please be strong, you are "normal",, you are valued, and I'm sure we all want to hug you.
