A poem for my partner.

You’ve done so much,
For me,
That’s true,
Even when I have no clue.

You’re only human,
I understand,
My life with you,
I tried to can.

But now I see,
How much you care,
A life without me,
You say,
You cannot bear.

The hope you have,
For me,
to be free,
I want you to know that you’re the key.

The key to my happiness,
The key to my heart,
I love you so much,
We cannot part.

I know I do hurt you,
I can be mean,
But you haven’t given up,
You have just been,

Been there for me,
For my family too,
You’re the best thing to me,
Who are you?

You’re the light in my life,
The smile on my face,
The hope in my heart,
That i’m trying to chase.

You’re the kiss in the morning,
The cuddle at night,
The reason I get up,
Why i’m trying to fight.

I don’t want to hurt you,
Not anymore,
I want to try,
But i’m scared and sore.

My brain that plays up,
My mind doesn’t agree,
It won’t let me,
Just be me.

With your support,
And your love,
Like you have done,
I will eventually,
Become once again fun.

I know I say I try,
But then I go back,
It’s my brain i’m telling you,
That is that.

But trust me now,
I am trying to fight,
This thing in my head,
With all my might.

I need you though,
Like I have in the past,
I need you here,
For me to last.

I love you,
It’s true,
With my whole bloody heart,
The one thing I hope,
We will never part.

You’ve been there for me,
Throughout it all,
I’m so lucky to have you,
You don’t let me fall.
